Manziel’s time in CLE limited?
The Cleveland Browns have found their new head coach. Does this mean the end of Johnny Manziel as a Brown?
The Browns named Cincinnati OC Hue Jackson as the next head coach of their team on Wednesday. Sources close to the hiring indicate that Jackson is not on the side of keeping Manziel on the team, which means he may have seen his last days as a Cleveland Brown.
Manziel was a 2014 first-round draft pick by the Browns, taken 22nd overall. Since he was drafted, there have been a number of issues with Manziel outside of his performance on the field. His play on the field also hasn’t been anything too spectacular. He has completed just 57 percent of his passes in his career to go along with 7 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. He also has run for 259 yards and a touchdown.
According to oddsmakers at RealBets, the Browns have the longest odds of any team in the NFL to win Super Bowl LI (51) next season. Cleveland is listed with 200/1 odds right now, while the 49ers have the next longest odds at 75/1. The Patriots, Seahawks and Steelers are all co-favorites at 8/1.
