Cleveland Browns DFS Spin
Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is one of only three running backs in the NFL who is averaging over 100 rushing yards per game this season. He is third in the NFL in total rushing yards with 904 and leads the league in rushing touchdowns with 11. Nick Chubb could be a nice contrarian play against a Bills defense that is 14th in the NFL in opponent rushing yards per attempt on the season.
Browns tight end David Njoku was listed as questionable all week for Sunday’s game against the Bills, but he’s been upgraded to probable and should see the field this weekend. One player who may see an increased role in the offense is Cleveland’s #2 receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones. Peoples-Jones had his best game of the season against Miami last weekend as he posted 99 receiving yards on 5 receptions. He’s recorded at least 50 receiving yards in each of his last 6 games. He might be the beneficiary if Cleveland is trailing in this contest and needs to pass to stay in the game.
Buffalo Bills DFS Spin
Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been nursing an elbow injury for the past few weeks, but he’s probable to play in Sunday’s clash with the Browns. Allen is third in the NFL in passing yards (2,733) and second in passing touchdowns (20) on the season. He’s also rushed for 476 yards and 4 touchdowns on the year. At his best, Josh Allen is one of the top QBs in DFS. But there is some risk if you use him this week as he’s turned the ball over 7 times in the past 3 games (6 interceptions, 1 lost fumble). Despite the risk, he might be able to get back on track in a controlled environment like Ford Field on Sunday.
For the Browns, starting cornerback Greg Newsome will miss this contest, so that means you can safely deploy Buffalo wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis in DFS. Bills tight end Dawson Knox might be a nice long-shot play as well as Cleveland ranks 25th in the NFL in opponent average yards per pass attempt.
Browns vs. Bills Betting Trends
Cleveland is 24-50-1 ATS in their last 75 games following an outright loss.
Cleveland is 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games against the AFC.
Buffalo is 10-2-2 ATS in their last 14 games against teams with a losing record.
Buffalo is 7-3-2 ATS in their last 12 games following an ATS loss.
Browns vs. Bills Prediction:
The Browns have lost 5 of their last 6 games, and the Bills are one of the best teams in the NFL. Buffalo leads the NFL in average scoring margin and points per play margin, and they’re second in the league in yards per point margin. The Bills are also undefeated when star safety Jordan Poyer plays, and he was a full participant at Friday’s virtual practice and looks like he’s going to play on Sunday. I still think the Bills are an elite team, and I think they take care of business and win by more than a touchdown on Sunday.
