Browns vs. Colts Free Pick
(The Spread) – The Peyton Manning-less Colts will try to pick up their first win when they host the Browns at 1:00PM ET.
Odds: Both of these teams played poorly in Week 1 but without Manning, the Colts looked hopeless. Oddsmakers have installed Cleveland as a 1-point road favorite for this weekend’s game, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 39.5 points.
Line Movement: The Colts actually opened as a 3-point road underdog but the spread has slowly dropped since then. They’re now a 2-point dog at the Las Vegas Hilton and either a 1.5 or 1-point dog at most online books. The over/under total is now all the way up to 40 in Vegas after it opened at 37.
Public Betting: Of the 7,000-plus wagers on today’s game, 52% of NFL public bettors currently favor the Browns –1. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date public betting info.
NFL Free Pick: Take Indianapolis. Even without Manning, the Colts should have an easier time moving the ball against a Cleveland defense that was embarrassed at home last week by the Bengals. According to latest NFL trends, the Browns are 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games in September and 0-6 ATS in their last six games following a straight up loss. They’re also 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall and haven’t covered the spread in their last five AFC tilts. The Colts, meanwhile, are 5-1 ATS in their last six games as a home underdog and 4-1 ATS in their lat five games in Week 2.
2011 NFL WEEK 2 FREE PICK: INDIANAPOLIS COLTS +1
