Cleveland Browns DFS Spin
Nick Chubb (foot) said he’ll play in the regular season’s final two games. Chubb has gutted it out in recent games, posting uncharacteristically inefficient stat lines like his 24-carry, 92-yard outing against the Saints in Week 16. Chubb told reporters he never considered shutting it down for the Browns’ meaningless Week 17 and Week 18 games. He should continue to operate as a workhorse, though his lack of pass game involvement crushes any hopes of elite upside. He’ll be a top-12 option this week against the Commanders.
Washington Commanders DFS Spin
Taylor Heinicke has been benched for Carson Wentz. Heinicke’s grit and leadership made him a player favorite after Carson Wentz’s early-season struggles. Heinicke was benched in last week’s 37-20 loss to the 49ers; he threw for 166 yards, two scores, and a pick while losing a fumble — his sixth in the past six games. Heinicke’s days as an NFL starter are likely over: His EPA per play was seventh worst among starters over the past two months, with the Commanders struggling to get anything going through the air. Heinicke, 29, will be a free agent this offseason.
