Tom Brady completed 36-of-54 attempts for 281 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Buccaneers’ 17-16, Week 13 win over the Saints. The late game winning drive was the 44th such occurrence of Tom Brady’s career, which broke a tie with Peyton Manning for the most in NFL history. It was also only the second time that Brady has led a come from behind victory after trailing by 13 or more points in the fourth quarter, the first of which came in Super Bowl LI against the Falcons. Brady and the Buccaneers were bottled up for most of the evening, managing a meager three points prior to touchdowns on their final two possessions of the game to cap the comeback win. Brady hooked up with rookie tight end Cade Otton with three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter before tossing a touchdown to Chris Godwin with 19 seconds remaining, which would be called back for offensive holding. After chipping away at the lost yardage, Brady would connect with rookie running back Rachaad White with just three seconds remaining to sink the Saints. The Buccaneers now gear up for a Week 14 clash with the NFC West leading 49ers.

49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said there is a “way outside chance” Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) is able to return in the playoffs. Adam Schefter previously reported Garoppolo could return in 7-8 weeks. That timeline made it feasible for him to be back after missing just one round in the postseason. Shanahan’s wording throws a bucket of cold water on that idea and makes it sounds like Garoppolo is all but certain to be done for the year. Unless something changes, the 49ers will have to make do with Brock Purdy as their starter and Josh Johnson as his backup.
