According to oddsmakers at RealBets, Houston is favored at home in this game, as the Texans are getting odds of -6.5 points against the Jaguars. The over/under total for the game has been set at 45.5 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET on CBS.

The Texans (8-7, 8-7 ATS) can win the AFC South today with a win or a Colts loss or tie against the Titans. Houston has won two straight and six of its last eight to get in this position. They have managed to win the last two games over the Colts and Titans without Hoyer available due to a concussion, but the 7th-year veteran is back to take over in the finale. He has thrown for 2,357 yards and 18 touchdowns this season with 6 interceptions. He has clearly been the most consistent QB option for the Texans in 2015.

Oddsmakers have given Hoyer an over/under of 254.5 passing yards for today’s game. Hoyer faced off with the Jaguars back on Oct. 18 in Jacksonville and he was 24 of 36 passing for 293 yards with three touchdowns. The Jaguars (5-10, 7-7-1 ATS) having nothing to play for and they already announced that coach Gus Bradley will be back. The Jags have the 29th-ranked pass defense, giving up 269.9 yards per game. Hoyer has thrown for at least 255 yards in four games this year, which isn’t a lot, but one of them was Jacksonville. With it all at stake, look for the Texans to trust in Hoyer to air it out.
