Can Cowboys count on Moore?
Kellen Moore makes his first NFL start on Sunday. Will he be able to lead the Dallas Cowboys to a win against the Buffalo Bills?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Bills are favored at home in this game, as Buffalo is getting odds of -6 points against the Cowboys. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 42.5 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET on FOX.
The Cowboys (4-10, 4-9-1 ATS) are out of the playoff mix and have resorted to Moore as their starting QB after failed attempts to replace the injured Tony Romo with Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel. He replaced Cassel last week in a 19-16 loss to the Jets and went 15 of 25 passing for 158 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions. The left-handed thrower from Boise State spent his previous three and a half seasons with the Detroit Lions as a third-string option.
Moore leads the Cowboys on the road against the Bills (6-8, 6-7-1 ATS), who are also out of the playoff mix after losing two straight and four of their last five. Buffalo hasn’t been great against the pass this season, giving up 257.7 yards per game this year. The Bills have given up 3,723 passing yards and 28 passing touchdowns this season while intercepting 13 passes. For Moore in today’s game, oddsmakers have listed his over/under at 210.5 passing yards and 1 passing touchdown. While it’s hard to know how Moore will perform, the Bills have given up multiple TD passes in three of their last four games and given up at least 250 passing yards in five straight games.
