Will Dallas stop Cousins?
Kirk Cousins has led the Washington Redskins to first place in the NFC East. Can he continue to do that tonight when they host the Dallas Cowboys in Monday Night Football?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Redskins are favored at home tonight, as they are getting odds of -3 points against the Cowboys. The over/under total for the game has been set at 42 points. These two meet tonight at 8:30PM ET on ESPN.
Cousins is a fourth-year player, but enjoying his first season as a starting quarterback. This year he has thrown for 2,787 yards and 16 touchdowns, but also has 10 interceptions. He has shown good accuracy, hitting on 68.4 percent of his passes. Cousins is currently on one of his hottest streaks in his time in the NFL. In his last five games, Cousins has 10 touchdown passes with just two interception while throwing for over 300 yards in three of those games. Washington (5-6, 5-6 ATS) is 3-2 in those games. For today’s game, Cousins has been given an over/under of 247.5 yards and 1.5 touchdowns passes.
Tonight Cousins meets up with the Cowboys (3-8, 3-8 ATS) who are heavily banged up, especially on offense, which has led to struggles at times on defense as well. Despite that, Dallas still comes into this game with the fifth-ranked pass defense in the NFL, allowing just 225.1 yards per game. The Cowboys have also allowed just 11 touchdowns passes to quarterbacks, which is tied for fewest in the NFL. Cook has thrown at least one touchdown pass in every game this season, but only has multiple TD passes in two games.
