Marshall to lead the Jets?
Brandon Marshall has been defying the critics with his strong season for the New York Jets. Will he add to that season today against the Tennessee Titans?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Jets are favored at home in today’s game, as they are getting odds of -7.5 points against the Titans. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 43 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET on CBS.
Marshall is among the top receivers in all of football this season. The 10-year NFL veteran is in his first season with the Jets (7-5, 6-5-1 ATS) and has 83 catches for 1,062 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is on pace to set a new career-high in TD catches in a season. His current high is 12 back in 2013. Marshall is also riding a nice two-game streak of 131 receiving yards in both games with a combined 21 receptions and three touchdowns.
Today Marshall meets up with the Titans (3-9, 4-7-1 ATS), who have struggled to contain opposing receivers, allowing 2,006 yards and 16 touchdowns. While Tennessee has decent numbers as a pass defense, the Titans have struggled lately against receivers. In their last two games against the Jaguars and Raiders, Tennessee has given up a total of 33 receptions for 459 yards and 7 touchdowns to opposing receivers. For today’s game, Marshall has been given odds of -185 to score a touchdown and his over/under for receiving yards is at 82.5. Marshall has seven 100-yard games in 2015 and it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see No. 8 today.
