Arizona is now 9-3 on the season after a 29-18 loss at Atlanta last week. The Cardinals have dropped consecutive games for the first time this season. The Cardinals still hold a one-game lead in the NFC West over the Seahawks and they are 8-4 against the spread.

Like Arizona, Kansas City has dropped two straight entering this week’s game. The Chiefs are coming off a 29-16 loss at home to Denver last Sunday night. The Chiefs are now 7-5 on the season and trail the Broncos by two games in the AFC West. Like the Cards, Kansas City is also 8-4 against the spread.

This game features two very impressive defenses and two rather lackluster offenses. Both teams are posting under 325 yards per game on offense this season. Arizona enters this game with the top passing defense, holding opponents under 200 yards per game. Arizona has one of the best run defenses, allowing just 90 yards per game on the ground. Alex Smith will have to step up for Kansas City. He has thrown for 2,364 yards and 15 touchdowns this season. The Cardinals could have issues running the ball, as they are expected to be without leading rusher Andre Ellington, who is battling a hip injury.
