Speaking Friday, Kliff Kingsbury said that he expects James Conner (ankle) and Chase Edmonds (ankle) to play in Week 15 against the Lions. James Conner looked unlikely to play after logging back-to-back DNPs, but Kingsbury’s are an encouraging sign. With Chase Edmonds also likely to be back, the two should form a committee against a woeful Lions team. Both Conner and Edmonds have TD upside, given the matchup. But Conner profiles as the higher upside option if he’s healthy.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that T.J. Hockenson underwent thumb surgery Thursday morning and will miss the remainder of the 2021 season. The biggest beneficiary of this from a fantasy football perspective is probably Amon-Ra St. Brown, who finds himself likely to continue to be peppered with targets after receiving 12 in each of the last two games. Hockenson finishes the year with 596 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and was a decent ways behind the top tier even in PPR leagues. The Lions could be very different next season, but Hockenson figures to remain a building block for the offense.
Cowboys vs. Giants Betting Prediction
The Cardinals are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games in Detroit while the underdog is 7-2 against the number in the last nine meetings and the home team is 12-3 at the betting window in the last 15 meetings. The Lions have also covered in four of their last five games overall, are 4-1 against the number in their last five games as an underdog and are 6-0 ATS in their last six games following a failed cover in their previous game.
