Arizona Cardinals DFS Spin
Kyler Murray completed 20-of-29 passes for 204 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals’ 42-34, Week 7 win over the Saints, adding seven carries for 30 additional yards. You would have liked to see Murray produce more than one touchdown in what ended up the highest-scoring game of the Kliff Kingsbury era in Arizona, but it was probably his steadiest overall outing of the season. That is despite the usual chorus of baffling sacks, clock management issues and spats with Kingsbury. Murray seemed centered by the return of DeAndre Hopkins even though it coincided with Marquise Brown’s placement on injured reserve. Of concern was a second half visit to the blue medical tent, but Murray was never announced with an issue. Running extremely effectively so far this season, Murray’s rushing efficiency has always cratered when he plays hurt. Whatever ailed him tonight, he has 10 days to rest up for a Week 8 date with the Vikings.
Minnesota Vikings DFS Spin
Kirk Cousins completed 20-of-30 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings’ 24-16, Week 6 win over the Dolphins. Cousins’ 30 pass attempts marked a new season-low to this point, and he averaged a rough 5.7 YPA on those throws. He was able to find Irv Smith and Adam Thielen for short touchdowns, however, and got Justin Jefferson over 100 yards. Cousins heads into the Week 7 bye with a 9:5 TD:INT mark and will be a justifiable top-18 fantasy option against the Cardinals in Week 8.
