Los Angeles Chargers DFS Spin
Justin Herbert completed 28-of-44 passes for 303 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in the Chargers’ 28-13, Week 12 loss to the Broncos. He also led the Chargers with 36 rushing yards on four attempts. After lighting the world on fire last Sunday night against the Steelers, Herbert took a step back, as the Chargers can’t seem to find their footing after a strong start to the season. Herbert’s pick-six late in the second half pretty much sealed the loss, though it was a catchable pass that glanced off Austin Ekeler’s hands. Herbert earlier hooked up with Ekeler for a touchdown and then heaved a jump-ball to Jared Cook for his second score. Herbert gets another tough on-paper draw next week at Cincinnati.
Cincinnati Bengals DFS Spin
Joe Burrow completed 20-of-24 attempts for 194 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals’ Week 12 win against the Steelers, adding one eight-yard rush for a touchdown. Burrow took off for the rushing score in the first quarter while the Bengals tormented the Pittsburgh defense with a heavy dose of Joe Mixon. That rushing touchdown saved an otherwise down fantasy day for Burrow. He didn’t need to do much with the run-funnel Steelers, who couldn’t stop the run for the second straight week. Burrow was efficient through the air and picked on a couple backup cornerbacks facing off against Tee Higgins. For better or worse, it’s clear the Bengals want to establish Mixon whenever they can. That could leave Burrow and Cincy pass catchers with reduced volume in games that feature plenty of neutral and positive game script. Burrow should be a fine QB2 option in Week 13 against the Chargers.
NFL Week 13 Betting Prediction
The Chargers are just 2-6 against the spread in their last eight games versus the Bengals, are 0-4 against the number in their last four conference games and have dropped five of their last six games at the betting window. The Bengals, meanwhile, are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
