Chargers vs. Broncos Week 13 Prediction
AFC West rivals clash in Denver on Sunday where the Broncos will host the Chargers at 4:25 p.m. ET. Are the struggling Bolts worth a play for bettors as a 3-point road favorite or will the Broncos cover as a home underdog?

Public Betting Trends
According to our NFL Football Public Betting Chart page, the Chargers are receiving 64% of the betting tickets from online sportsbooks.
Los Angeles Chargers Fantasy Spin
Mike Williams (knee) wasn’t listed on the Chargers’ final injury report. Williams practiced in full on Thursday and Friday. He’s good to go for Sunday. Only Robert Woods (80) and Leonard Fournette (70) have more targets than Williams (62) without a touchdown this season. The man is too good to go much longer without making it to the promised land.
Denver Broncos Fantasy Spin
Coach Vic Fangio said that QB Drew Lock (thumb, IR) will be activated for Sunday, but “we haven’t decided yet” whether he’s starting. Lock seems like the favorite to start against the Chargers considering Brandon Allen has struggled to consistently move the offense in recent weeks. Of course, back-to-back road matchups against the Vikings and Bills are hardly ideal for any QB to deal with. Lock doesn’t hold any fantasy value at the moment, but he could provide an upgrade for the likes of Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant.
NFL Betting Trends
Los Angeles
The Chargers are 9-3-1 against the spread in their last 13 road games but have failed to cover in their last five conference games.
Denver
The Broncos are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games overall but are just 1-4 against the number in their last five divisional games.
Prediction
Whether Lock makes his NFL debut on Sunday or it’s Brandon Allen, the Broncos offense is likely to struggle. The Chargers are an injury-riddled team heading straight for their couch come January but they can still get after the passer and should make life miserable for either Lock or Allen. Meanwhile, the Chargers have also had issues protecting Philip Rivers but if Miller can’t go, I don’t see the Broncos holding up defensively when it’s all said and done. That defensive unit for Denver has been hung out to dry the past two weeks and while this won’t be a blowout, I do like the Chargers laying only three.
