Los Angeles Chargers DFS Spin
Justin Herbert completed 28-of-42 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns in the Chargers’ 31-26, Week 9 loss to the Raiders. Herbert has tossed multiple touchdowns in five straight games and has a 15:3 TD:INT mark in that span with an additional rushing score to his name. He hasn’t been the problem at all for the Bolts, who continue to find ways to lose games. The Chargers got all the way down to the four-yard line at the end of the game and opted to call back-to-back low-percentage end-zone fades that were tough to complete. After the refs initially ruled a game-winning touchdown, replay overturned it and the Chargers lost again. Herbert’s two touchdowns that counted were hookups with Keenan Allen and Gabe Nabers. Herbert will be a QB1 next week at the Dolphins.
Miami Dolphins DFS Spin
Tua Tagovailoa completed 20-of-28 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns in Miami’s 34-31 Week 9 upset over the Cardinals. He also ran the ball seven times for 35 yards including his game-clinching sneak on 3rd-and-short with one minute remaining. Kyler Murray out-performed Tagovailoa in the box score, but the rookie still shook off his underwhelming debut in making clutch throws into oncoming pressure down the stretch despite being without Myles Gaskin (knee), Preston Williams (foot), and Isaiah Ford (traded). Tua also drove the field to put Miami in position for the go-ahead field goal with 3:35 remaining, finding Mike Gesicki for a 19-yard gain when it counted most. One would imagine the “audition” rumors that swirled around him to start the week have been put to bed. Tagovailoa will rank as a high-end starter for 2-QB leagues in next week’s matchup against the Chargers.
