Will Drake Maye go over his passing yards total? Will Justin Herbert rush for at least 16 yards? Read on for our Chargers vs. Patriots Same Game Parlay prediction.
Chargers vs. Patriots Same Game Parlay: Drake Maye over 217.5 Passing Yards (-110)
Maye is coming off a performance against the Bills in which he threw for 261 yards to go over his passing yards total. He’s now gone over in four out of his last five games, with the lone exception coming in Arizona when he only threw for 202 yards.
The Chargers were stout against the pass for most of the year but they’ve been worse in the back half of the season. They’ve surrendered a 5.9% touchdown rate over their past seven games, which ranks 27th in the NFL. Their 7.2 yards per pass attempt over that spans also ranks 18th.
Chargers vs. Patriots Same Game Parlay: Ladd McConkey over 5.5 Receptions (-120)
McConkey caught six passes in the win last Thursday against the Broncos, which eclipsed his 5.5-reception total. He’s now caught at least five passes in five straight games and has hauled in at least six passes in four out of his last five games. Over that span, he went over his reception total four times.
This matchup is favorable for McConkey to go over his reception total again. He works from the slot 68.7% of the time, allowing him to avoid Christian Gonzalez more often than if he were to lineup outside. Gonzalez is by far New England’s best corner. I expect Justin Herbert to pepper McConkey plenty again.
Chargers vs. Patriots Same Game Parlay: Justin Herbert over 15.5 Rush Yards (-110)
Herbert has gone under his rushing total in three out of his last four games, but he was also banged up over that span. He looked healthier last week when he rushed for 28 yards against the Broncos, eclipsing his 9.5-yard rushing total. Over his last 10 games, Herbert is averaging 22.6 rushing yards per contest.
