Chargers vs. Texans Underdog Fantasy Picks: Ladd McConkey 75.5 Receiving Yards (Higher)
The rookie McConkey has gone higher than 75.5 receiving yards in three consecutive games. He had 87 yards receiving versus the Broncos, 94 receiving yards at New England and 95 receiving yards at Las Vegas. He’s has gone higher than 75.5 receiving yards in seven out of his last eight games overall. McConkey has emerged as Justin Herbert’s go-to receiver despite his rookie status and he’s likely to have another big game on Saturday in Houston.
Chargers vs. Texans Underdog Fantasy Picks: Diontae Johnson 15.5 Receiving Yards (Lower)
Johnson got reps last Sunday with the Texans, who picked him up after the Ravens dumped him after a short stint. He was targeted on 25% of his routes, but he also didn’t run a single route with C.J. Stroud. Considering the Texans just picked him up a few weeks ago, whether or not he’ll see significant playing time is unknown.
My guess? If Johnson does get the ball, it’ll be something quick off the line of scrimmage and he won’t gain much. This isn’t the Steelers version of Dionte Johnson. This is the version that was dumped by the Panthers, who was then dumped by the Ravens. This line is too high.
Chargers vs. Texans Underdog Fantasy Picks: Justin Herbert 19.5 Rushing Yards (Higher)
One of the more underrated aspects of Herbert’s game is his mobility. He just rushed for 42 yards on the Raiders and he’s gone higher than 19.5 rush yards in two out of his last three games. In fact, his rushing yards average over his last 10 games is 22.3.
Herbert has rushed for a career-high 306 yards this season. The Texans were 21st in rushing points allowed per game to quarterbacks. Herbert could take off once and go higher on his rushing yards.
