Chargers vs. Vikings Odds
Both the San Diego Chargers and Minnesota Vikings look to get over .500 when the two meet on Sunday at 1PM ET on CBS.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Minnesota is the slight favorite at home in this game, as the Vikings are getting odds of -2.5 points against the Chargers. The over/under total for the game is listed at 44.5 points. The home team has won four straight in this series while the underdog has covered the spread in five straight between these two.
San Diego is 1-1 on the season, 1-1 against the spread and 1-1 with the over/under total. The Chargers started the year with a 33-28 win over the Lions at home but then lost to the Bengals on the road last week, 24-19. San Diego is posting 418.5 yards per game on offense thus far, while allowing just 345.5 yards per game. Philip Rivers has thrown for 644 yards and four touchdowns in two games, but also has three interceptions and has been sacked six times. Rookie Melvin Gordon has rushed for 139 yards, but is seeking his first touchdown. Eric Weddle is leading the SD defense with 19 tackles and two pass deflections.
Minnesota is 1-1 on the year, 1-1 against the spread and 2-0 with the under. The Vikings lost 20-3 on the road to the 49ers in the opener but bounced back last week with a 26-16 win over the Lions at home. The Vikings offense is averaging just 299 yards per game thus far while the defense is giving up 359 yards per game. Teddy Bridgewater has thrown for 384 yards and a touchdown in his second season while Adrian Peterson has rushed for 165 yards in two games, but also has two fumbles. Everson Griffen is leading the defense with 1.5 sacks.
