Kansas City Chiefs DFS Spin
Patrick Mahomes completed 27-of-42 passes for 320 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Chiefs’ 26-10, Week 12 win over the Rams. The Chiefs played down to their injury-depleted opponent in this game. Kansas City’s offense made six trips to the red zone and scored just one touchdown inside the Rams’ 20-yard line. Isiah Pacheco punched in their lone red zone touchdown. They kicked four close-range field goals. Mahomes was also intercepted at the goal line once. He stepped through the pocket, attempted to look off a defender, and through a pass directly at Rams safety Nick Scott. Los Angeles had no ability to fight back on offense in this game, so the conservative performance is arguably excusable. Mahomes and company will need to bring their A game in Week 13 versus the Chiefs. A potential shootout gives the MVP front-runner QB1 overall upside.
Cincinnati Bengals DFS Spin
Joe Burrow completed 22-of-37 passes for 270 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals’ 20-16, Week 12 win over the Titans, adding nine carries for 32 additional yards. Returning to Tennessee for the first time since last season’s Divisional Round, Burrow cut down his number of sacks from nine to one. With Ja’Marr Chase missing one more game with a hip issue, Burrow locked onto Tee Higgins for 7/114/1 as he spread the ball around behind his fill-in No. 1 receiver. The one-score effort was just Burrow’s second of the year. He will definitely be visiting the end zone more frequently in Week 13, where Chase should be returning for a likely shootout with the Chiefs.
