Kansas City Chiefs DFS Spin
Tyreek Hill has five targets of more than 20 yards downfield over Kansas City’s past four games. Hill’s usage has changed dramatically since the Chiefs committed to winning ugly and abandoning their once-dominant downfield passing attack in the face of the vaunted cover-2 shell. It’s worked wonders for the red-hot Chiefs, but it’s been borderline disastrous for Hill and Travis Kelce (fantasy’s TE13 over the past four weeks). Hill, who’s caught two of those five downfield looks for 70 yards, was second in the NFL last year with 33 targets of at leas 20 yards downfield; he has 18 through 13 games this season. He remains a volume-based WR1 without the game-changing upside he possessed in 2019 and 2020.
Los Angeles Chargers DFS Spin
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports Austin Ekeler (ankle, questionable) is expected to play Thursday night against the Chiefs. Ekeler was said to be a game-time decision, but it sounds like he’s going to play on a short week after exiting four days ago against the Giants. His presence takes the headache out of trying to decide who to play in fantasy among the Chargers’ trio of backup running backs. Ekeler is fantasy’s overall RB3 in points per game this season and is an obvious must-start if active.
