Chiefs vs. Colts Odds
The lone unbeaten team in the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs, looks to remain that way in Week 5 when they take on the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at 1PM ET.
The Chiefs are 3-0 this season and coming off a bye while the Colts are 2-2. The game will take place from Lucas Oil Stadium and air on CBS.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL have made the Colts a 7-point favorite at home against unbeaten Kansas City. The over/under has been set at 45.5.
The point spread opened at Indianapolis -9 and has slowly worked its way down to 7 points, where it currently is. The over/under began at 44 and has been climbing all week to get to 45.5.
The Colts are 2-2 on the season and 0-2 against AFC South opponents after losing 31-28 to Jacksonville last week. The Colts are 1-0 at home this season and still strong on offense, averaging 29.3 points and 411 yards per game. Peyton Manning has thrown for 1,365 yards and 11 touchdowns with just one interception. Reggie Wayne has 33 catches for 456 yards while Austin Collie has caught 32 passes for 398 yards and five touchdowns. Joseph Addai has 228 rushing yards with two scores. On defense, the Colts are giving up 23 points and 367 yards per game. Antoine Bethea has 29 tackles to lead the defense while Robert Mathis has four sacks.
The Chiefs are 3-0 with wins over the Chargers, Browns, and 49ers. Kansas City has been very solid on defense, giving up just 12.7 points and 313 yards per game. The Chiefs are giving up 238 passing yards per game, which could be an issue against Manning. Derrick Johnson has 25 tackles to lead the defense while Tambia Hall has four sacks and Brandon Flowers has two interceptions. On offense, Matt Cassell has thrown for 494 yards and four touchdowns through three games while the duo of Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones have combined for over 450 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Trends look solid for both teams but they do slightly favor Kansas City as Indianapolis is just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven after a straight up win while the Chiefs are 6-1 ATS in their last seven road games and 5-0 ATS in their last five as an underdog.
Indy could be without wide receiver Austin Collie, who is nursing a foot injury and is listed as questionable. Backup running back Donald Brown is also questionable for the Colts, as he has a hamstring injury. The Chiefs have two listed as probable for Sunday as defensive end Tyson Jackson has a knee issue and tackle Ryan O’Callaghan is recovering from a groin injury.
