Super Bowl 57 Halftime & Game Prop Predictions
Will the final score have occurred as past Super Bowl Final Score? Yes +410
This one is interesting. So the final score in tonight’s game must have occurred in a previous Super Bowl for us to cash in and if it does, we’re getting +410 with this prop. That’s tremendous value. Think about some of the recent final scores in Super Bowl history, starting with last year’s Rams-Bengals matchup. While it would mean a lower-scoring game tonight, the Rams-Bengals 23-20 final is a common NFL score, as is the Chiefs’ 31-20 victory over the 49ers in the 2020 Super Bowl. What about 34-28, which was the final score in the Patriots’ epic comeback against the Falcons in 2017? Or 28-24, which was the final score for the 2015 Super Bowl played between the Patriots and Seahawks? Hell, Baltimore’s 34-31 win over San Francisco in 2013 is another final I could see for tonight’s game if it winds up being a shootout. Nonetheless, we have 56 opportunities to match tonight’s final score to a Super Bowl that was previously played. I’ll take my chances at +410.
Coin Toss Result: Tails (-110)
Ah, the coin toss. A true 50/50 proposition that Super Bowl bettors love to play because it signals the beginning of the night for not only the game, but for degenerates as well. (Hey, no judgement – I’ve been known to lay some money on the toss as well.) If you’re wondering about the history of the coin toss, it’s come up heads 27 times (48%) and tails 29 times (52%), which makes sense when you factor in probability (i.e. the coin will either come up heads or tails). Even you want to consider streaks into your decision on this prop, heads has come up in five straight games once and tails has come up four straight times in the history of the Super Bowl. How did I land on tails for this prediction? I flipped a coin. Don’t waste too much of your bankroll on this one!
Coin Toss Winner Wins the Game: No (-104)
If you’re looking at a better than 50/50 chance based on recent trends, then choose this prop instead. In the last nine Super Bowls, the winner of the coin toss has gone on to lose the game. Of the 24 teams that won the game and the coin toss, 16 were the betting odds favorite to win and only eight were underdogs. Thus, root for the Chiefs to win the coin toss if you’re hoping to follow recent Super Bowl trends.
Color of First Gatorade Poured on Winning Head Coach: Blue +550
Clear/Water has won at the highest percentage at 28.2% since Super Bowl XXXV in 2001. The next highest Gatorade bath color is orange at 22.7%, followed by Blue and None at 18.2%, respectively. Why did I choose Blue? Because it’s cashed in three of the last four Super Bowls and we’re getting great odds. That’s it. That’s as much thought as I put into this one. Again, be smart about your bankroll when it comes to betting these props. There are smarter plays available.
