Patrick Mahomes Super Bowl 57 Prop Predictions
Over 292.5 Passing Yards
Mahomes went over his passing prop in 11 of the 19 games he played this season, which includes the postseason. He averaged 303.74 passing yards in those 19 games and when you break it down further, he averaged 304 yards per game in his nine road contests and 300.11 in the nine games the Chiefs faced a winning team. Bet against Mahomes at your own risk.
Under 19.5 Rushing Yards
Mahomes finished with eight rushing yards against the Bengals in the AFC title game and only eight versus the Jaguars in the Divisional round. That’s not surprising considering he injured his ankle in the first half versus Jacksonville, but he also finished with exactly eight rushing yards against the Seahawks in Week 16 and eight in Week 17 versus the Broncos. The only time he rushed for more than 20 yards in his last five games was versus the Raiders in Week 18 when he ran for 29.
Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
The odds (-215) on this prop are freaking horrendous but this should be a layup. In 19 games this season, Mahomes threw for two or more touchdowns in 14 of those contests. In his last five games, he threw for two or more touchdowns in four of those contests, with the Week 18 win over the Raiders being the only exception (he threw one TD). Unless the Eagles completely shut down the Chiefs, I can’t see Mahomes not tossing two touchdowns – especially when this team usually avoids its running backs inside the red zone (at least from the ground).
