Will Xavier Worthy have a big game on Christmas Day when the Chiefs take on the Steelers in Pittsburgh? Will George Pickens struggle in his return from injury? Read on for our Chiefs vs. Steelers Same Game Parlay.
Chiefs vs. Steelers Same Game Parlay: Xavier Worthy over 49.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
It appears the Chiefs are building opportunities for Worthy like they did a year ago for rookie Rashee Rice. Worthy caught seven of his 11 targets for 65 yards and a touchdown in last week’s win against the Texans. He has seen double-digit targets two weeks in a row and has 31 catches over his past six games.
I was tempted to take the over on his reception total, but the number is 4.5. While Worthy has at least four catches in every game over his last six contests, I don’t love the 4.5-number. I’d rather roll the dice that he gains more than half the yards we need on one catch, then worry about sweating out one or two last receptions at the end of the game.
Chiefs vs. Steelers Same Game Parlay: George Pickens under 62.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
Pickens has missed the past three games with a hamstring injury, but is trending towards playing today. The Steelers’ passing game took a hit with Pickens out of the lineup, but he also could be on a reduced snap count today. Kanas City has also done a great job taking away opponents’ No. 1 targets. The Chiefs allow the fewest yards per target (6.7) to top options. They held Nico Collins to seven receptions for 60 yards and Ja’Marr Chase to four receptions for 35 yards.
I think they can handle Pickens.
Chiefs vs. Steelers Same Game Parlay: Pat Freiermuth over 28.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
Freiermuth caught three passes for 16 yards and has had more than four catches in only two games this season. That said, opposing tight ends have 25.7% of the targets against the Chiefs, which is the third-highest rate in the league. On those targets, Kansas City allows a league-high 8.9 yards per target.
I’m anticipating the Chiefs taking away Pickens, leaving Freiermuth to pick up the slack from a yardage standpoint. It’s a roll of the dice, but I like the matchup nonetheless.
