Will the Chiefs and Warriors cash for bettors on Christmas? Will Nebraska continue to roll in Hawaii? Read on for our Christmas Day Cross-Sport Parlay.
Monday Cross-Sport Parlay Recap
After hitting our Sunday Cross-Sport Parlay, my Monday Cross-Sport Parlay fell apart. Fresno State blew a halftime lead to Northern Illinois in the bowl game and lost by over 3.5 in overtime. The Panthers were smoked by the Lightning and after hanging with Nebraska at halftime, Hawaii collapsed in the second half and failed to cover. My lone victory was the Packers (-14.5) over the Saints on Monday Night Football, but the parlay was long crushed by the time the two teams kicked off at Lambeau.
NFL Christmas Day Cross-Sport Parlay: Kanas City Chiefs -2.5, 1:00 p.m. ET
George Pickens is back for the Steelers and some pundits have suggested he’s the key to Pittsburgh’s success. I can understand the thought process, as Russell Wilson and the Steelers haven’t looked the same offensively with Pickens sidelined the last three weeks.
However, the last time I checked, Pickens doesn’t play defense. The Steelers couldn’t get off the field two weeks ago in Philadelphia. It had to be frustrating for Mike Tomlin watch as the Eagles salted the final 10 minutes off the clock as the Pittsburgh defense couldn’t make a key stop. Then last week, Wilson had two key turnovers that attributed to Baltimore’s 34-17 win over the Steelers, although Pittsburgh’s defense once again struggled.
The Chiefs have issues. Full stop. That said, Patrick Mahomes’ ankle looked no worse for wear last week in the win over Houston and all Kansas City does is win. If this spread were higher, I’d consider Pittsburgh as a home dog. But I’m not fading Mahomes and Co with the number at only a field goal.
NBA Christmas Day Cross-Sport Parlay: Golden State Warriors -4 (-108), 8:10 p.m. ET
The Warriors have had the Lakers’ number in previous meetings. While the two teams have split the last 10 meetings, the Warriors beat the Lakers in three straight. Golden State also covered in all three of those games as well. The Warriors haven’t been strong ATS of late, failing to cover in three of their last four games. That said, they should be energized playing at home on Christmas Day, especially against the Lakers. I’ll roll the dice on this short number.
CBB Christmas Day Cross-Sport Parlay: Nebraska Cornhuskers -3.5 (-110); 8:30 p.m. ET
Nebraska has been a juggernaut in this tournament. The Huskers were 8-point favorites against Murray State and pistol whipped the Racers, 66-49. They again were an 8-point favorite against host Hawaii and took the Rainbow Warriors behind the woodshed in a 69-55 victory. That makes three straight up and ATS wins for Nebraska, dating back to its 85-68 win as a 5-point favorite against Indiana.
Granted, Oregon State has six consecutive victories entering play tonight, five of which were ATS victories as well. However, the Beavers haven’t had the same schedule challenge as the Huskers. I think this line is too short and Nebraska rolls again.
