The moves came Friday, just two days after the Colts released quarterback Peyton Manning after 14 years. Brackett and Bullit were both team captains, Addai was the featured running back for years and Clark is a former Pro Bowler who caught 100 passes in 2009 alone.
Owner Jim Irsay said the moves were difficult but required by what he called the “nature of the salary cap” in the NFL.
