Colts vs. Jaguars Week 17 Odds
JACKSONVILLE, FL (The Spread) – The Colts will look to make it three in a row when they travel to Jacksonville on Sunday to play the Jaguars.
INDIANAPOLIS: The Colts notched their second victory of the season last Thursday night by upsetting the Texans 19-16 as a 7-point underdog. Dan Orlovsky threw for 244 yards and one touchdown while Reggie Wayne hauled in eight passes for 106 yards and a score. Unfortunately for Indy, the win may have cost the Colts a chance for the No. 1 overall pick. They’d have to lose this weekend versus the Jaguars or have the Rams beat the 49ers in St. Louis to ensure that they have the top overall selection come April.
JACKSONVILLE: While the Jaguars did cover the 6.5-point spread versus the Titans last week, their 23-17 loss dropped their record to 4-11 on the year. The Jags have now lost five of their last six games and they will undoubtedly will be picking in the top 10 in the 2012 NFL Draft. Maurice Jones-Drew has rushed for 1,437 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, but rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert (2,122) has struggled mightily. The Jaguars will have a new coach and perhaps a new look next year as new owner Shahid Khan takes over the franchise.

Indianapolis enters the week with a 2-13 overall record and is 0-7 on the road this year, while Jacksonville is 4-11 overall and 3-4 at home.
TRENDS: The over is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these two teams in Jacksonville and 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall. The road team, meanwhile, is 7-2 against the spread in the last nine meetings but the Colts are just 1-4 ATS in their last five games versus the AFC South and 1-10 ATS in their last 11 contests versus a team with a losing record.
