Washington Commanders DFS Spin
Jahan Dotson (hamstring) will not play in Week 8 against the Colts. Dyami Brown appears on the questionable line and will likely be the third receiver against Indianapolis. Dotson hasn’t practiced since his hamstring setback two Thursdays ago and will need to show improvement in practice next week to get back on the field for Week 9.
Indianapolis Colts DFS Spin
The Athletic’s Zak Keefer believes Sam Ehlinger’s “scrambling ability might prove to be a spark this offense desperately needs.” Keefer said the Colts offense had grown “stagnant” with the immobile Matt Ryan under center. Colts opponents have been able to disrupt everything the team tries to do on offense because Indy’s offensive line is one of the league’s worst and Ryan has been utterly unable to avoid oncoming rushers. He’s taken a league-high 80 hits through seven games. Ehlinger comes with some rushing appeal: He had 503 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns in his final season at Texas and regularly showed an ability to evade defenders and make throws from outside the pocket. In three preseason games last August, Ehlinger completed 83 percent of his attempts at 10 yards per attempt. He threw four touchdowns and no interceptions on 29 passes, and rushed three times for 71 yards and a score. Ehlinger is in a good spot this week against a middling Washington pass defense allowing nearly seven yards per attempt (19th).

Commanders vs. Colts Prediction:
The Commanders are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games following an ATS win, are 3-1-1 against the number in their last five games versus a team with a losing record and are 14-6-1 at the betting window in their last 21 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game. Washington has also covered in 14 of its last 20 games coming off a win and with the way Taylor Heinicke sparked the offense last week, I’m backing the Commanders again this week.
