Commanders vs. Eagles Underdog Fantasy Picks: Will Saquon Barkley go higher for rushing attempts?

Super Bowl LIX Underdog Fantasy Picks Super Bowl LIX Underdog Fantasy Picks

Saquon Barkley will be the focal point of the Eagles’ offense and the focus of the Commanders’ defense in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game. That said, will he go higher than 23.5 rushing attempts? Read on for our Commanders vs. Eagles Underdog Fantasy Picks.

Commanders vs. Eagles Underdog Fantasy Picks: Saquon Barkley 23.5 Rushing Attempts (Higher)

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles passing game hasn’t looked right for months. Since Hurts returned from his head injury entering the playoffs (an injury that cost him 2.5 regular-season games), offensive coordinator Kellen Moore has been conservative with his play-calling. This has turned Philadelphia’s offense into the Saquon Barkley show, and for good reason. The former Giants running back led the league in rushing this season and is off to an incredible start in the playoffs, too.

I can’t imagine a scenario in which Barkley doesn’t receive at least 24 carries. If you’re the Eagles, you don’t want to get into a shootout with Jayden Daniels and the Commanders. Even if the matchup is good with Washington’s pass defensive, and it is, you want to control this game from the outset. One way you do that is to give the ball continuously to Barkley.

The MVP candidate had 26 rushing attempts last Sunday against the Rams and 25 carries versus the Packers in the Wildcard round. Barkley has gone higher than his rushing attempts total in four consecutive games and in seven of his last nine contests overall.

Commanders vs. Eagles Underdog Fantasy Picks: Jayden Daniels 1.5 Passing TDs (Higher)

The future Offensive Rookie of the Year has averaged 2.0 passing touchdowns per game over his last 10 contests. He threw for exactly two touchdowns against the Lions in the Divisional round and two touchdowns against the Bucs on Wildcard weekend. He had zero against the Cowboys in Week 18, but he also didn’t play much in that game.

In contests that he’s played the entire game, Daniels has thrown for at least two touchdowns in seven straight contests. He threw for five touchdowns against the Eagles the last time these two teams played.

Commanders vs. Eagles Underdog Fantasy Picks: Dyami Brown 3.5 Receptions (Higher)

Dynami Brown has had an excellent postseason for the Commanders. He went higher in receptions, yards and longest reception in both of Washington’s playoff games. This has coincided with Olamide Zaccheaus falling lower in receptions, yards and longest reception total.

Brown caught six-of-eight targets for 98 yards in the Commanders’ Divisional round victory over the Lions last Saturday night. He stepped up in a big way in the Wildcard round, catching five passes for 89 yards and a score. That was a career-high in catches and a second-best mark in yards for him, so he upped the ante last weekend in Detroit. He has emerged as Washington’s No. 2 receiver and a go-to for Daniels in the passing game.
