CHICAGO, IL (The Spread) – The Dallas Cowboys need a win on the road tonight when it takes on the struggling Chicago Bears at 8:25PM ET on the NFL Network.

The Cowboys are coming off a tough 33-10 loss at home to the Eagles on Thanksgiving Day to fall to 8-4 on the season. Dallas has now lost three of its last five to fall a game behind Philadelphia in the NFC East with a meeting in Philly on the horizon next week. The Cowboys are just 6-6 against the spread this season and are facing a team in Chicago that they have dropped their last three meetings with.

The Bears are coming off a 34-17 loss at Detroit on Thanksgiving. That loss snapped a two-game win streak and dropped Chicago to 5-7 on the season. The Bears still have slim playoff hopes, but they have lost four of their last six and seem like a team that has one foot out the door. The Bears are just 5-7 against the spread this season.

Oddsmakers don’t seem to feel good about the Bears either, as oddsmakers from Bovada.lv have Dallas favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -3.5 points against Chicago (View Matchup). The over/under total for the game has been set at 51 points.

Chicago has one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL, allowing 270.7 yards per game through the air. Dallas has relied heavily on the run this year, but we all know Tony Romo can air it out when needed. Despite battling injuries, he has thrown for 2,718 yards and 22 touchdowns this season. With Chicago having an offense that is averaging 21 points per game, the Cowboys know they will need to put up points, and attacking a banged-up Chicago secondary is probable the way to do it.
