The Cowboys were the top seed heading into the 2017 NFL Playoffs but were knocked out of the postseason by Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Green Bay then lost in Atlanta in the NFC title game, with the Falcons advancing to play the Patriots in the Super Bowl. There, Atlanta blew the largest lead in Super Bowl history, choking away an opportunity to win its first championship in franchise history.
