Cowboys lose CB Scandrick to torn ACL
DALLAS, TX (The Spread) – Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick’s MRI on Tuesday night confirmed that he suffered a torn ACL and MCL.
Scandrick will miss the entire 2015 NFL season, which is a huge blow to Dallas seeing as how the 28-year-old was the team’s best corner. Brandon Carr, Morris Claiborne and 2015 first-rounder Byron Jones are now atone the Cowboys’ depth chart at the position.
Carr has been a bust since signing a huge free agent deal in 2012, while Claiborne hasn’t come anywhere close to living up to his top-10 billing from the 2012 draft. Claiborne is also coming off a torn patellar tendon and Jones is still coming back from an early-camp shoulder issue have suffering from shoulder problems in college.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Cowboys have 3/2 odds to win the NFC East this season. They’re also 16/1 to win the 2016 Super Bowl and 15/2 to win the NFC Conference Championship.
