Dallas lost 27-24 to the New York Jets in its season opener. The Cowboys gave up 17 points in the final quarter after leading 24-10. Dallas committed three turnovers in the game with quarterback Tony Romo having two in the final quarter. Romo still threw for 342 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. The Dallas defense did hold New York to just 45 rushing yards.
San Francisco defeated Seattle 33-17 in the season opener last Sunday. In terms of Injuries, Dallas cornerback Terence Newman is out for Sunday’s game with a groin injury while tackle Tyron Smith is questionable with a knee injury. San Francisco safety Dashon Goldson is questionable to play with a knee injury.
