Cowboys vs. Bengals Week 14 Prediction

Andy Dalton takes on his former team on Sunday when the Cowboys visit Zac Taylor and the Bengals at 1:00 p.m. ET. Will Dallas cover as a 3-point road favorite or is there a better play on the board?

Game Snapshot

Venue: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, OH

Dallas Cowboys DFS Spin

Andy Dalton completed 31-of-48 passes for 285 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Cowboys’ Week 13 loss to the Ravens. Only scoring 17 points on offense was expected, but the biggest issues in Dallas right now are coaching and the defense. Neither looked ready for Week 13 despite extra days to prepare. Those issues keep leading Dalton into negative game script, which breed garbage-time production and lots of check-down throws. Dalton maneuvered inside the pocket well on Tuesday despite playing with backup offensive tackles and could post QB2 numbers in an easier on-paper matchup against the Bengals in Week 14. The offense looks far more functional with Dalton under center compared to Ben DiNucci and Garrett Gilbert.

Cincinnati Bengals DFS Spin

Ryan Finley completed 6-of-7 passes for 40 yards and an interception in the Bengals’ Week 13 loss to the Dolphins. Finley stepped in after Brandon Allen went down hard while taking his sixth sack of the day. He suffered a chest injury and was ruled out shortly after leaving the field. The game was nearly over after Allen left the field so his high completion rate was likely a product of Miami letting him make easy throws to wind out the clock. He finished the day by throwing an interception on a pass that was tipped in the middle of the field and then caught by a Miami defender. Finley now has four interceptions and two touchdown passes in his career. If he does draw the start versus Dallas next week, all of the Cincinnati receivers will get a massive downgrade.

Cowboys vs. Bengals Week 14 Prediction

The Cowboys are winless against the spread in their last six games as a favorite, are 1-7 against the number in their last eight road games and are 0-6 against the number in their last six games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous contest. They’re 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games as a road favorite as well.

The Bengals, meanwhile, are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games against an opponent with a losing record, are 7-2 against the number in their last nine games following a loss and are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.
