Cowboys vs. Redskins NFL Week 8 Predictions Against the Spread 10/29/17

NFL Week 4 Predictions: Will Cowboys cover as a favorite vs. Rams? 10/1/17 NFL Week 4 Predictions: Will Cowboys cover as a favorite vs. Rams? 10/1/17

Cowboys vs. Redskins Prediction

Will the Redskins pull off a small upset versus their NFC East Division rivals the Cowboys today at 4:25PM ET?

Who Oddsmakers Like: Dallas. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cowboys are now 1.5-point road favorites versus the Redskins after opening as a 1.5-point underdog. As for the total, the number hit the board at 50.5 but was bet down a full four points to 46.5.

Who the Public Likes: Dallas. As of this writing, the Cowboys are receiving 72% of the bets at multiple online sportsbooks. Dallas enters play with a 3-3 record both straight up and against the spread, while Washington is 3-3 overall but just 2-4 at the betting window.

Who the Trends Like: Washington. The road team is actually a perfect 6-0 against the spread, which backs the Cowboys, but the underdog has cashed in 29 of the last 38 meetings between these two teams. The Cowboys are also just 6-15 at the betting window in their last 21 games versus the Redskins.

Who We Like: Washington. The Redskins’ problems with consistency this season don’t have much to do with Kirk Cousins, who is having an excellent season. He completed 30-of-40 pass attempts for 306 yards, with three touchdowns and one interception in Washington’s Week 7 loss to the Eagles. He played well enough for the Redskins to win, but they couldn’t slow down a red-hot Philadelphia team.

The problem is Washington’s injuries. Trent Williams is questionable but isn’t expected to play because of a knee injury. Center Spencer Long is already out wit a knee injury and Brandon Scherff is unlikely to play as well. Morgan Moses is questionable, which leaves one healthy offensive lineman for the Redskins. Even though Dallas has issues rushing the passer, the Cowboys shouldn’t have much trouble drumming up a pass rush against Washington’s backup offensive lineman.
