Dallas Cowboys DFS Spin
Michael Gehlken reports that Dak Prescott starting on SNF “would surprise many close to situation.” Prescott is listed questionable, has traveled with the team to Minnesota and remains a game-time decision. It sounds increasingly unlikely that Prescott will play however. If Prescott is unable to go, Cooper Rush will lead the offense, representing a major downgrade for all Cowboys players.
Minnesota Vikings DFS Spin
Kirk Cousins completed 33-of-48 passes for 373 yards and three touchdowns in Minnesota’s 34-28 Week 6 overtime win against the Panthers. Cousins had his flaws early, missing Justin Jefferson (8/80) wide open downfield for a would-be long score before tripping over his own feet at the 10-yard line on the ensuing play. He still stepped up when it mattered most down the stretch, putting the Vikings up 25-17 with a perfectly placed five-yard dime to Adam Thielen (11/126/1) in the third quarter and engineering a nine-play, 75-yard drive in overtime that was capped with a 27-yard walk-off touchdown to K.J. Osborn. On bye next week, Cousins should be considered a high-end QB2 when the Vikings return in Week 8 against Dallas.
NFL Week 8 Betting Prediction
The Cowboys are 1-5 against the spread in their last six games in Minnesota and are 1-5 against the number in their last six games versus the Vikings overall. The Vikings, meanwhile, are 14-4 against the spread in their last 18 home games versus a team with a winning road record and are 11-5-1 at the betting window in their last 17 games played in the month of October.
