Murray dealing with broken hand
DALLAS, TX (TheSpread) – The Dallas Cowboys are in a must-win situation against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, but their top player is dealing with a broken hand.
Dallas running back DeMarco Murray had surgery on Monday to fix a broken bone in his left hand according to head coach Jason Garrett. Despite that, ESPN is reporting that sources close to the Cowboys believe he will be able to play on Sunday against Indy.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Dallas is the favorite to win Sunday’s game, as the Cowboys are getting odds of -3 points at home against the Colts. The over/under total for the game has been set at 55 points.
The Cowboys come into Sunday’s game with a 1-game lead in the NFC East over the Eagles at 10-4, but the Cowboys don’t have the head-to-head tiebreaker with Philadelphia, so they need to remain a game ahead, which means they need a win on Sunday. Murray has been the star of the Dallas offense this season, as he has rushed for 1,687 yards and 11 touchdowns. He leads the NFL in rushing by over 400 yards.
