Despite no Revis, Jets still a 3.5-point favorite vs. Dolphins on Sunday

Jets favored without Revis

With no Revis Island on the field Sunday, is Ryan Tannehill due for a big outing as the Miami Dolphins take on the New York Jets?

View NFL Odds

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Jets are still favored at home in this game, as they are getting odds of -3.5 points against the Dolphins. The over/under total for the game has been set at 42.5 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET on CBS.

The Jets come into this game at 5-5 overall and 4-5-1 against the spread, but will be without Darrelle Revis, who is sitting out due to a concussion. That certainly opens up the field for the Dolphins, who have had a disappointing year in the air, averaging just 236.7 yards per game. At 4-6 on the season and 4-6 against the spread, look for Miami to try and air it out to receivers Rishard Matthews and Jarvis Landry. Matthews is more of the deep threat, averaging 15.4 yards per catch.

Ryan Tannehill seemed set for a big year, but has had just 2,640 passing yards with 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions this season. He was held to 198 yards on 19 of 44 passing in the first meeting with the Jets on Oct. 4, which was the last under then-coach Joe Philbin. In Miami’s last three wins, Tannehill has eight touchdown passes with two interceptions, so clearly getting him established will be a big key in this game.
