Freeman ready to go
The Atlanta Falcons are struggling, to say the least, but will getting Devonta Freeman back on the field this Sunday help against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
Freeman missed out in last week’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings due to a concussion he suffered the previous week against the Indianapolis Colts. Freeman has went through the concussion protocol and appears to be cleared to play this Sunday against Tampa Bay in a key game for the 6-5 Falcons, who have lost five of their last six.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie.ag, the Falcons come into Sunday’s game as a 2-point underdog in Tampa Bay. The over/under total for this contest has been set at 46 points.
Freeman has had a breakout year for Atlanta. He has run for 764 yards and nine touchdowns this season while also catching 48 passes for 420 yards and two touchdowns. Freeman had 88 rushing yards and 43 receiving yards in the first meeting with Tampa Bay on Nov. 1, which was a 23-20 OT loss at home for Atlanta.
