The Dolphins are coming off a 41-13 loss at New England last week. They have now dropped three of their last four games to essentially fall out of playoff contention. Miami is 7-7 on the season now and 7-7 against the spread. The Dolphins have failed to cover in three straight and they are 0-2 ATS in their last two games when favored.

The Vikings are coming off a 16-14 loss at Detroit last week, which snapped a two-game winning streak. The loss moved Minnesota to 6-8 on the season. Their last four losses have been by 8 points or less, as they have been very competitive the second half of the season. The Vikings are 9-5 against the spread this year and they have covered in four straight and seven of their last eight games.

The oddsmakers feel the Dolphins should have an easy time with this game as oddsmakers from Bovada.lv have given the Dolphins odds of -7 points against the Vikings on Sunday. The over/under total for the game has been set at 42.5 points (View Matchup). Miami has won its last two against Minnesota, covering the spread in both meetings.

This game features two very capable defenses, as Miami is holding opponents to just 331.6 yards per game while Minnesota is allowing 339.9 yards per contest. The offenses are also comparable, as Miami is posting 337.2 yards per game, but the Minnesota offense is averaging just 312.9 yards per game. This game could come down to rookie QB Teddy Bridgewater, who has thrown for over 300 yards in his last two games and has completed over 70 percent of his passes in three straight.
