Dolphins vs. Jaguars Odds
The Miami Dolphins hit the road looking for a 2-0 start to the season when they face the Jacksonville Jaguars at 4:05PM ET on CBS.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Miami is the favorite in this game, as the Dolphins are getting odds of -6 points against the Jaguars. The over/under total for the game has been set at 41.5 points. Miami has won and covered the spread in three straight meetings with the Jaguars and these two have hit the under in five straight.
Miami started the season with a 17-10 win at Washington on Sunday. The Dolphins were a 4-point favorite on the road and they went under the 45.5-point total. Miami only had 256 yards of offense in the win while giving up 349 yards to Washington, but the Miami defense forced a pair of turnovers and Jarvis Landry had a punt return for a score. Ryan Tannehill had 226 passing yards with a touchdown to lead the offense while Lamar Miller rushed for 53 yards.
Jacksonville suffered a 20-9 loss at home to the Panthers. The Jaguars failed to cover the 3-point spread and went under the 41-point total. The game didn’t feature much offense as the Jaguars had just 265 total yards while Carolina had 263 total yards. The key in the loss was three turnovers by the Jaguars and Blake Bortles being sacked five times. Bortles finished 22 of 40 passing for 183 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. T.J. Yeldon had 51 yards rushing in his NFL debut.
