Dolphins vs. Patriots NFL Week 12 Predictions Against the Spread 11/26/17

NFL Predictions: Dolphins vs. Patriots to Light up Scoreboard? 11/24/17 NFL Predictions: Dolphins vs. Patriots to Light up Scoreboard? 11/24/17

Dolphins vs. Patriots Prediction

Will the New England Patriots cover the biggest point spread of the NFL season on Sunday when they host the Miami Dolphins at 1:00 p.m. ET? Or will Miami hang within the massive number as a road underdog?

Who Oddsmakers Like: New England. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Patriots are 16.5-point home favorites versus the Dolphins, who opened as 16-point road underdogs. The total, meanwhile, sits at 48 points after hitting the board at 47.5.

Who the Public Likes: New England. As of Sunday morning, just under 55% of betting tickets are on the Patriots to cover the spread.

Who the Trends Like: New England. The home team has covered the spread in nine of the last 10 meetings between these two teams while the favorite has cashed in four of the last five meetings. The Dolphins are also just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games against the Patriots and have really struggled in New England, failing to cover in all five of their last five trips to Foxborough.

Who We Like: New England. I know, I know…you won’t make much money constantly laying double-digits on favorites in the NFL. But the Patriots are firing on all cylinders right now and have seemingly fixed a lot of the defensively problems that plagued them early in the year.

Tom Brady is going to carve up that Miami defense. The Dolphins are allowing 25.4 points per game, which ranks 27th in the NFL. They struggle against the pass so if their front four can’t generate pressure then Brady will pick them apart.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins are only averaging 15.7 points per game on offense, which ranks 30th. They won’t have Jay Cutler on Sunday, but that might not matter because New England has held opponents to 17 points or less in six straight weeks. This should be a boat race that the Patriots win easily.
