Eagles release Tebow, 10/1 to win SB
The Tim Tebow era is over in Philadelphia, as the quarterback was released by the Eagles on Saturday.
Some thought Tebow would make the Eagles’ 53-man roster after the team traded Matt Barkley to the Cardinals on Friday. But in the end, Chip Kelly decided not to keep three quarterbacks and Tebow was released. Philadelphia will go with Mark Sanchez behind starter Sam Bradford.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Eagles are 10/1 to win the 2016 Super Bowl. They’re also 3-point road favorites versus the Falcons on Monday Night Football in Week 1 of the NFL season.
It’ll be difficult for Tebow to find work after being released. One would think he’ll head back to ESPN to be a college football analyst.
