Eagles vs. 49ers SNF Prediction
The Eagles will look to avoid falling to 0-3 on the season when they visit the banged-up 49ers at 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday Night Football. That said, the Eagles are 9-point road dogs after the line opened at 3.5. Will Philadelphia at least cover?

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said benching Carson Wentz for rookie Jalen Hurts would be a “knee jerk reaction.” “No, you don’t go there,” Pederson said when asked about the prospect of benching his franchise player. We’re not sure making the move would be “knee jerk” after Wentz’s immense struggles through three weeks. If his job is safe after completing 59.8 percent of his passes and throwing six picks in three games, Wentz likely won’t face a benching this season. Wentz’s adjusted yards per attempt has plunged to 4, or half of his career high A/YA. His rushing prowess might make him usable in superflex formats next week against the 49ers.

Jimmy Garoppolo (ankled) remained sidelined Thursday. Nick Mullens has taken every first-team rep this week. Garoppolo is going to miss another game vs. the Eagles. With zero reps under his belt since getting injured in Week 2, Garoppolo is looking questionable to return in Week 5 against the Dolphins.
Eagles vs. 49ers Prediction
The Eagles are winless against the spread in their last four games overall, are 0-4 against the number in their last four games versus an opponent with a winning record and are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous contest. Meanwhile, the 49ers are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games as a favorite, are 4-1 ATS in their last five conference games and are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games overall.
