Philadelphia Eagles DFS Spin
The Eagles did not list a RB1 on their unofficial depth chart ahead of Week 1’s matchup against the Patriots. While most teams list their starters on their depth charts, the Eagles decided to list their running backs in alphabetical order by last name. The Eagles’ running back situation is a difficult one to navigate for fantasy purposes, with D’Andre Swift, Rashaad Penny, and Kenneth Gainwell all jockeying for meaningful touches, while Boston Scott fights for whatever is left. Swift figures to be the pass-catching back, while Penny works in on early downs, and Gainwell acts as the change of pace back, but this situation isn’t one that will be solved in one week. Each back has a wide range of outcomes heading this week’s matchup against the Patriots, making them difficult to trust despite potentially high upside.
New England Patriots DFS Spin
Rhamondre Stevenson (illness) is questionable for Week 1 against the Eagles. Stevenson surprisingly missed practice on Friday before getting hit with the questionable tag. However, the Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed previously reported that Stevenson is expected to play, so fantasy managers shouldn’t panic yet. Despite ceding work to Ezekiel Elliott, Stevenson should return RB2 numbers in a tough matchup versus Philly.

Eagles vs. Patriots Prediction:
Give me New England. Remember when everyone was talking about how bad of a season the Patriots had in 2022? Yeah, they won seven games. That’s not a positive overall, but given the way people talked about the Patriots, you would have thought they were in the running for the No. 1 overall pick last season. The Eagles are absolutely loaded again. They have one of the best rosters in football and Jalen Hurts was rewarded for his play last year with a brand new contract this offseason. However, the Super Bowl hangover is real for the losing team and this is a tough Week 1 matchup given how Bill Belichick had all offseason to prepare for Philly’s offense. This one will be closer than people expect.
