Philadelphia will be in a familiar role when these two teams meet on February 4. The Eagles will once again be an underdog, which is a role they have thrived in the past two weeks. They were a 3-point home dog versus the Falcons in the Divisional Round and hung on to a 15-10 victory. On Sunday in the NFC Championship Game, they were once again a 3-point home dog and blew out the Vikings, 38-7.

Nick Foles played exceptionally well against Minnesota, completing 26-of-33 passes for 352 yards and three touchdowns in the Eagles’ shocking dismantling of the Vikings and their top-rated defense. He was just 2-of-15 on throws attempted 20-plus yards downfield this season but then completed four 20-plus-yard throws in Sunday’s game alone, completing flipping the script on anyone fading him and the Eagles going into the game.

The underdog is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams and the Eagles are 11-4 at the betting window in their last 15 games overall. They’re also 9-3 against the spread in their last 12 games versus a team with a winning record.

The Patriots, meanwhile, are 4-1 against the number in their last five playoff games and have covered in 16 of their last 21 games versus an opponent that has a winning record. They’re 36-16-2 against the number in their last 54 games overall.
