The Indianapolis Colts may be banged up, but they have revenge on their mind when they host the Houston Texas Monday night.
Both teams enter the game at 4-2 on the season with the Texans 2-0 on the road in 2010 while the Colts are 2-0 at home this season. The Colts are looking to avenge a 34-24 loss to Houston in the opening week of the season.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL have made the Colts a 5.5-point favorite at home against the Texans on Monday night. The over/under has been set at 51.
The spread is currently where it opened at with the Colts at -5.5. The spread did go up to 6 during the week. The over/under opened at 49.5 and has slowly climbed up to 51 throughout the week.
The Colts have won four of the last five games before taking the bye last week. Despite not playing, the Colts took a big hit as tight end Dallas Clark was lost for the year due to a wrist injury, giving Indy 11 players on injured reserve this season. Peyton Manning has thrown for 1,916 yards and 13 touchdowns on the season while Joseph Addai has 406 yards and three touchdowns while Reggie Wayne has caught 45 passes for 602 yards. Robert Mathis has six sacks on the season to lead the defense.
Houston has alternated wins and losses in their last four games before hitting the bye. The Texans have scored at least 30 points in all four wins but been held to 13 points or less in both losses. The Texans have given up a minimum of 24 points in every game this year. Matt Schaub has thrown for 1,538 yards and nine touchdowns on the season while Arian Foster has rushed for 635 yards and six touchdowns and Andre Johnson has caught 32 passes for 488 yards and two scores. Bernard Pollard has 57 tackles to lead the defense while Mario Williams has five sacks.
The over is 10-1 in the last 11 meetings between these two teams and 6-1 in the last seven meetings in Indianapolis.
Along with the loss of Clark both Addai and receiver Austin Collie are doubtful for Monday’s game with injuries while Houston defensive tackle Earl Mitchell is doubtful to play with an ankle injury.
Over 62,400 bets have been placed on this game with the Colts getting 55% of the wagers at -5.5 against the Texans.
