According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Carolina is the favorite at home in this game, as the Panthers are getting odds of -5 points against the Colts. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 45.5 points. Carolina has won and covered the spread in four of its five meetings with Indianapolis. These two have hit the under in four of their last five meetings.

Carolina is 6-0 on the season, 5-1 against the spread and 3-2-1 with the over. The Panthers are coming off a 27-16 win over the Eagles at home last week. The Panthers are fourth in the league in scoring, averaging 27 points per game. That is due in large part to their top-ranked rushing attack that averages 144.7 yards per game. The Carolina defense is allowing just 18.3 points and 345.3 yards per game. Cam Newton has thrown for 1,275 yards and nine touchdowns while rushing for 245 yards and four scores to lead the offense. Greg Olsen has added 27 receptions for 439 yards and three scores. The defense is led by Josh Norman, who has 24 tackles with four interceptions and two defensive touchdowns.

Indianapolis is 3-4 overall, 2-5 against the spread and 4-3 with the under. The Colts are coming off a 27-21 loss to the Saints at home last week for their second straight loss. Indy is not the offensive power many expected this year, as they are averaging 21 points and 351.3 yards per game while the defense is giving up 24.9 points and 408.6 yards per game. Andrew Luck has appeared in five games and has thrown for 1,398 yards and 11 touchdowns, but also has nine interceptions. T.Y. Hilton has added 37 receptions for 606 yards and three scores. The defense is led by Dwight Lowery, who has 42 tackles, two interceptions and one sack.
