Falcons vs. 49ers Odds
The Atlanta Falcons look to get back on track this week when they take on the San Francisco 49ers at 4:05PM ET on FOX.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Atlanta is favored on the road, as the Falcons are getting odds of -7 points against the 49ers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 44.5 points. San Francisco has won two straight over the Falcons, but Atlanta is 3-2 against the spread in the last five of this series. These two have hit the over in three of their last four meetings.
Atlanta is 6-2 on the season, 4-4 against the spread and 5-2-1 with the under. The Falcons are coming off a 23-20 loss at home to Tampa Bay and they have lost two of their last three after a 5-0 start. Despite averaging 26.6 points and 414.8 yards per game, the offense has been somewhat turnover prone in recent weeks. The Atlanta defense is allowing 21.6 points and 345.4 yards per contest. Matt Ryan has thrown for 2,399 yards and 11 touchdowns to lead the offense while Devonta Freeman has run for 709 yards and nine scores. Julio Jones has added 70 catches for 892 yards and six touchdowns.
San Francisco is 2-6 on the season, 3-5 against the spread and 4-4 with the over/under total. The 49ers are coming off a 27-6 loss at St. Louis last week for their second straight loss. It was the fourth time this year that the 49ers have scored 7 points or less. The team ranks last in scoring (13.9 ppg) and total offense (282.2 ypg). The San Francisco defense is giving up 25.9 points and 403.8 yards per contest. Colin Kaepernick has been benched after throwing or 1,615 yards and six touchdowns this season. Blaine Gabbert gets the start this week. The San Francisco defense is led by Aaron Lynch, who has 23 tackles and five sacks.
