London removed from injury report
Drake London (knee) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 17 against the Commanders. London was upgraded to a full participant in Friday’s practice before being cleared for Week 17. He left the Falcons’ Week 16 win over the Giants with the knee issue and did not return, though that was largely because Atlanta already had the game in hand. London is back in the WR2 ranks for his date with Washington this week.
Commanders rule out top corner Lattimore
Commanders ruled out Marshon Lattimore (hamstring) for Week 17 against the Falcons. Repeated hamstring strains continue to plague the elite cornerback. It is an unfortunate outcome in a week where two tentatively playoff-bound teams square off. Hopefully, Lattimore can get right for a potential playoff run.

Falcons vs. Commanders Prediction:
Take Atlanta. Even though they played the hapless Giants, the Falcons had new life last Sunday thanks to rookie Michael Penix Jr. Kirk Cousins had been a disaster in the team’s four previous games. His lack of mobility and diminished arm strength caused issues for Atlanta’s passing game. Penix was nearly flawless last week. The zip on his throws were eye-catching and it wasn’t an automatic sack if a defender pressured the rookie, unlike when the statue Cousins was in the pocket.
The Falcons defense will have its work cut out for it having to defend Jayden Daniels. That said, each team would be in great position to make the playoffs with a win tonight. I expect this one to come down to the wire and I’ll happily take the 3.5 points to have in my back pocket if/when it does.
Falcons vs. Commanders NFL Prediction: Atlanta Falcons +3.5
